I loved this book, too! It traces the history of a sacred Jewish text (a haggadah) through various periods of history, going deeper and deeper through the past. It's also about the woman who is working to restore the book in the present time. It's hard to explain, but this book is definitely riveting.
This is a great book that I read this summer. It is hard to put down and very different. It is a historical mystery.

Hmmm... I really enjoy books detailing cultures outside of my own. Jewish and Indian cultures particularly fascinate me. I may try this one.
