Ender's Game is about a futuristic Earth that is under attack by an unknown alien race. The military that is in charge of the fight vs. the aliens are looking for an able commander to lead the human fleet against the aliens' home world. They choose a boy named Ender, and send him off to a school in space where he receives all sorts of training about what he will need to save the human race. I really enjoyed this book and would give it a 8 out of 10.
I read this book too!! It was very exciting and adventurous.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my old favorites! I read it back when it was relatively new. The author did a good job of weaving the difficulties and intricacies of the science of space travel into the story balancing the need to "stretch" present technology but still holding on to core physics principles. Considering the good balance of science, he then manage to create a strong character driven book. Add to that special twists and surprises and this ends up being an excellent book.
