The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is a page turner. It is a thriller/mystery with surprising and unexpected turns. It was written by Swedish author, Steig Larsson and is now a best seller. The book is filled with interesting characters like feminist icon, Lisbeth Salander, and detective, Blomkvist. Once I started this book, I couldn't put it down.
Is it a more mature and adult book for teenagers? Because I have heard that in order to understand it fully people who are older should read it. I am really interested in it though!
ReplyDeleteYeah it is pretty confusing unless you pay really close attention and get into it. It's pretty boring at first, but it's really good once you get into it. Read it!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteIs the movie like the book?
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved the book (and its sequel...still haven't read the 3rd one yet). I'm usually a pretty deliberate (i.e. slow) reader, but I tore through this novel. Larsson was great at creating suspense. It's a shame he's gone already. I don't recommend the movie, though. It was much too graphic for me in places. I understand there will be a Hollywood remake that probably won't push the envelope quite so much.
