Clara's War

I am reading Clara's War. It is about Jewish families that are taken into hiding. They have to survive in a small place underground that they call the bunker. They are holding on to the thought of survival while starving and running out of time to stay alive.

Emmy, who just got out of a serious relationship, must find away to not be so committed with men. While Leigh, who seems to have a perfect life, must find a way to break up with her "perfect" boyfriend.

If you really like chick-flicks, you will really like this book!

Stuff: Compulsive Hoarding and the Meaning of Things

This book is the documented journey of two scientists working with compulsive hoarders to learn more about the disorder. It is both frightening and interesting, but mostly frightening. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning more about why people save newspaper clippings from 8 years ago along with other useless objects.

Keeping the Moon

Keeping the Moon by Sarah Dessen, tells the story of Colie, a teenager who used to be overweight. Colie is forced to stay with her aunt Mira while her mother, a world-famous fitness guru, tours Europe. While with her aunt Mira, Colie befriends Morgan and Isabel, two best friends. Through Morgan and Isabel, Colie learns about herself and all the frustrations she has towards the world around her. I would highly recommend this book to others especially if you're looking for a quick read.

The Dissapearing Spoon

The Disappearing Spoon is a book about the history of the periodic table. while this may seem like an extremely boring book, as many of you probably do not enjoy chemistry, it is extremely well written, and at many parts is even humorous. It describes the actions that led to the discovery and acquisition of knowledge regarding the elements, and many of the people involved lived extremely interesting lives. I would recomend this book to anyone who has the vaguest intrest in chemistry.

The Time Traveler's Wife

The Time Traveler's Wife is a great book about a girl who grows up her whole life knowing her husband. When she actually meets him when she is 20 he has no idea who she is. This is because he time travels. The whole book is about their relationship and overcoming hard time. I highly recommend this book! It is a little hard to get into though. The writing style of the author is much different and can be a little confusing at times, but if you like love stories you will love it.

Graceling

This book is pretty good so far. It's about this girl named Katsa and she is an assassin. She is a Graceling, I don't really know what that means other than she has two different colored eyes and that she is extremely good at killing people. I am not very far into it so far, but I feel like it is about to get really good.

Anna and the French Kiss

This is one of the best teen romance books I have ever read! The story follows a girl named Anna, studying abroad in Paris for her senor year in high school. You really feel like you are in Paris, and the author makes the characters witty, intelligent, and likable. I HIGHLY recommend this book!

Hunter

I am reading the book "Brian's Winter" by Gary Paulsen. I just started it but so far i know that it is the sequal to the book clled the "Hatchet". It has really pulled me in so far.

Lance Armstrong

This book is a really good story about the struggle that Lance had to go through to get to where he is today. It is a very good story about his fight with cancer and his childhood. He really talks a bunch about the relationship that he has with his mother because he never really had a father. This is a really good book.

Maximum Ride

It's about 6 genetically altered kids with wings trying to find out who did that to them, why they were created, dealing with the world of normal people who their real parents are.

Anthem

Anthem is about a group of men name Equality 7-2521, living in a Utopian scociety. They find a cave a write about their civilizations and the many wonders that the people among them have. They write in secret because it is against the law to have different thoughts of those among the community.

Water for Elephants

This is a fantastic book that tells the story of a man's journey on the circus. It is a great story that captures the reader from the very beginning. The author does a great job describing, and the reader really feels like they are on the circus with him. No words are good enough to describe the amazing story, I highly recommend it (especially for the girls!)

Something Blue

A cute book that was entertaining to read but really deep reading.
I thought it was good though and plan on reading some of Emily Giffin's other books. Its about a woman named Darcy who is used to having every thing go her way until one day and her life is changed forever.

Enders Game

Enders Game was written by Orson Scott Card. It is about a 6 year old boy who lives in the future and is recruited by the army and sent of to basic training. He eventually is promoted to the rank of commander and saves the human race from extinction by defeating the invading alien force

Scar Tissue

This book is a biography about Anthony Kiedis, the lead singer to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. This book is so exciting and it really pulls you in. Throughout the whole book I felt like I was actually there with him, experiencing the things that he was experiencing.

The Smart Take From The Strong

I read this book The smart take from the strong. It's Pete Carril's thoughts how you should practice basketball and what is the right way to do those. In the book he talks about almost everything about basketball and he has very strong opinions, but still he make sure that when you read the book those are only his opinions and some other coach can have different thoughts about same things.

I liked the book a lot. It was easy to read, because the chapters where under page long, so I didn't have problem to stay in it. If you like basketball and easy reading, I bet you would like it.
